Kyrgyzstan Eyes Stronger Ties with UK Export Finance to Boost Economy and Mining

Following a recent meeting between Kyrgyz Deputy Foreign Minister Meder Abakirov and UK Ambassador Nicholas Bowler, Kyrgyzstan is actively pursuing enhanced collaboration with the UK Export Finance (UKEF) agency, focusing on economic development, trade and investment, banking, and the mining sector.

Special attention was given to the Concrete Canvas project, which involves the construction of a manufacturing plant, as well as the ongoing partnership with Boston Consulting Group (BCG) aimed at formulating a strategic plan for Kyrgyzstan’s critical minerals industry, The Caspian Post informs via Kyrgyz media.

Both sides expressed a strong commitment to maintaining and expanding political and economic ties through the organization of high-level visits and continuous negotiations, signaling a mutual interest in deepening their partnership.
