The volume of trade turnover between Kyrgyzstan and Russia increased by 16.6% in 2024 year-on-year and reached $3.2 bln, Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Jeenbek Kulubayev said at a meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in Moscow.
"According to our data, trade turnover between our countries reached $3.2 bln in 2024, having increased by 16.6% compared to the previous year," Kulubayev said, The Caspian Post reports, citing Russian media.
He recalled that the presidents of Russia and Kyrgyzstan set the task of increasing mutual trade turnover to $5 bln per year.
"We have the capacity to do this, and our ministries and departments should start working actively in this direction," the minister believes. He is confident that the parties will reach this level of trade turnover in the near future.
Kulubayev arrived in Moscow on January 22 on an official visit.
