The Kyrgyz Cabinet of Ministers has approved a draft Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Malaysia, marking a new chapter in bilateral collaboration in the field of higher education.

The agreement was officially signed on June 23, The Caspian Post reports via Kyrgyz media.

The MoU sets out a comprehensive framework for academic cooperation, encompassing student and faculty exchange programs, mutual recognition of academic qualifications, credit transfer systems, and collaborative research and teaching initiatives.

Under the terms of the agreement, universities and higher education institutions in both countries will engage in academic staff and student exchanges, enabling teaching assignments, joint research projects, study visits, and co-publications.

The memorandum also places strong emphasis on collaboration in technical and vocational education and training (TVET), including the use of modern educational technologies, curriculum development, textbook sharing, and teacher training.
