Turkish Investors Explore New Healthcare Manufacturing Project in Kyrgyzstan

Kyrgyzstan is looking to strengthen its pharmaceutical industry as Turkish investors explore plans to launch local production of medicines and dietary supplements in the country.

Kyrgyz Economy and Commerce Minister Bakyt Sydykov met with Safa Yılmaz, founder of Turkish pharmaceutical company UNIEN PHARMA İLAÇ TEKNOLOJİ LTD. ŞTİ, to discuss the establishment of a pharmaceutical and dietary supplement plant in Kyrgyzstan, The Caspian Post reports via Kazinform.

The talks focused on launching domestic production facilities for medicines and vitamins, as well as exploring export potential, logistics solutions, and broader investment cooperation between the two sides.

Sydykov said ensuring access to safe and high-quality medicines remains a top government priority. He emphasized that expanding domestic pharmaceutical production is a key part of Kyrgyzstan’s state policy and noted that authorities are ready to provide full support for investors entering the sector.

Both sides expressed interest in deepening cooperation as Kyrgyzstan seeks to reduce dependence on imported pharmaceuticals and develop its manufacturing base.
