Kyrgyzstan’s Economy Rockets Into World’s Top Five

Head of the Kyrgyz Chamber of Commerce and Industry Temir Sariev has said that Kyrgyzstan emerged as one of the world’s five fastest-growing economies, driven by a surge in construction and broader economic activity.

Speaking at a roundtable on the challenges and prospects of the country’s construction sector, Sariev noted that growth in construction-related GDP has reached 127 per cent, reflecting large-scale efforts to revive and modernize the national economy, The Caspian Post reports via Kyrgyz media.

“Over the past four years, the pace of economic growth allows us to say that we are on a positive trajectory,” he said. “Based on the results of 11 months, GDP growth amounted to 10.2 percent. This is the highest growth rate.”

Sariev said that sustained investment and activity in key sectors such as construction are playing a central role in maintaining momentum and positioning Kyrgyzstan as one of the most dynamically growing economies globally.
