Daniyar Amangeldiev, First Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, participated in the CIS Economic Council meeting held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
The meeting, chaired by the Tajik side, took place in both narrow and extended formats. During the meeting, the International Exhibition Innoprom Central Asia and the inaugural CIS Regions Forum were also held, The Caspian Post reports citing 24.kg.
Daniyar Amangeldiev noted the positive dynamics of Kyrgyzstan’s foreign trade with the CIS countries. He emphasized that for 2020-2024 period the volume of mutual trade of the Kyrgyz Republic with the CIS countries increased 2.1 times, including exports - 2.4 times, imports - almost 2 times.
Over the past year, the volume of foreign trade turnover of the Kyrgyz Republic with the CIS countries amounted to $6 billion, which is 10.1 percent more compared to 2023.
The Cabinet notes that this indicates a steady growth of mutual trade and strengthening of economic ties within the Commonwealth.
The First Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers also noted the steady growth of Kyrgyzstan’s economy, the average rate of which is 9 percent. In addition, the Cabinet of Ministers has formed a list of 128 industrial facilities planned for commissioning this year.
The meeting participants discussed further measures to deepen trade and economic cooperation between the Commonwealth member states and adopted relevant decisions.
