Kyrgyz athletes continue delivering impressive performances at the Third CIS Games.
The event is currently taking place across seven cities in Azerbaijan, The Caspian Post reports per Kyrgyz media.
In taekwondo, Kyrgyzstan secured three medals:
Nurkhan Samidinov (-58 kg) and Abdulazim Abdurakhimov (-87 kg) both won silver medals,
while Ramazan Dyikanbaev (-68 kg) earned a bronze medal.
Kyrgyz competitors also excelled in sambo, adding four medals to the country’s overall tally across different weight divisions.
The Third CIS Games feature contests in 21 sports, with a total of 505 medal sets to be awarded. This multi-sport event, bringing together athletes from across the Commonwealth of Independent States, is scheduled to conclude on October 8.
Kyrgyzstan is represented by a strong delegation of 126 athletes, participating in various disciplines and reinforcing the nation’s growing prominence on the regional sporting stage.
