National Bank: Kyrgyzstan–China Remittances See Steady Climb

The Kyrgyz National Bank has announced that the volume of cross-border remittances from Kyrgyzstan to China maintained steady growth.

In 2024, total transfers reached 1.5098 billion soms ($17.25 million), marking a 45.2 per cent increase compared to 2023, when the figure stood at the equivalent of $11.4 million, The Caspian Post reports via Kyrgyz media.

Despite the upward trend, the all-time high was recorded in 2022, when remittances to China totaled 1.86 billion soms ($147.877 million).
