A powerful dust storm has swept through Toru-Aigyr and several coastal areas of Issyk-Kul, Kyrgystan, severely reducing visibility and making travel nearly impossible.
Meteorologists said western winds reached speeds of 33-35 meters per second, lifting sand and small stones and creating hazardous road conditions, The Caspian Post reports via Kyrgyz media.
Emergency services are urging residents to stay indoors, keep windows and doors closed, and avoid travel until the storm subsides. So far, there are no reported casualties, and civil defense teams continue monitoring the situation closely.
