From August 1 to 3, Kyrgyzstan’s picturesque lakeside town of Cholpon-Ata will become a global stage for cultural expression as it hosts the Rukh Sanat World Traditional Culture and Music Festival.
Set against the backdrop of the Rukh Ordo cultural and ethnographic complex, the festival will welcome participants from 37 countries, including musicians, researchers, scholars, and cultural experts, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.
Each will present the rich and diverse musical and artistic traditions of their nations, contributing to a global celebration of heritage.
The festival, held with the support of the president of Kyrgyzstan, is designed to become a biennial event that strengthens cultural tourism and enhances the country’s international profile.
Over the course of three days, visitors will enjoy a dynamic program of concerts, masterclasses, and performances featuring traditional music and dance. One of the main highlights will be a traditional music competition, with a total prize fund of up to 3 million Kyrgyz soms ($34,305).
