World Bank, Kyrgyzstan Collaborate on Fiscal Reform and Social Justice

Deputy Chairman of the Kyrgyz Cabinet of Ministers, Edil Baisalov, has met with a World Bank delegation led by Hugh Riddell, Head of the World Bank Country Office in Kyrgyzstan, to discuss the distributional impacts of current fiscal policies, enhancing efficiency, poverty reduction, and promoting social justice.

During the meeting, the World Bank presented a new interactive online monitoring tool-a map that displays data at the village and district levels-to enhance planning and decision-making processes, The Caspian Post informs via Kazakh media.

The parties also exchanged views on strengthening the social protection system and increasing support for vulnerable groups.

Edil Baisalov expressed gratitude for the World Bank’s ongoing support, while World Bank officials praised Kyrgyzstan’s positive economic developments and emphasized the importance of continued cooperation. The meeting concluded with a joint commitment to implement initiatives aimed at sustainable socioeconomic growth.
