Bosnia Strengthens Air Defense with Turkish Counter-Drone Technology

Bosnia and Herzegovina has signed a contract with Turkish defense giant ASELSAN to purchase 10 counter-drone systems, strengthening the country's ability to protect critical military and strategic infrastructure from modern aerial threats.

The agreement was signed by Bosnia and Herzegovina's Defense Minister Zukan Helez and ASELSAN CEO Ahmet Akyol, The Caspian Post reports via Report.

Helez described the project as the third major technological support initiative delivered by ASELSAN for the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The newly acquired systems will be used to safeguard military facilities, defense industry sites, and other strategic assets against unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).

Akyol said ASELSAN is also exploring opportunities to expand cooperation with Bosnia and Herzegovina's domestic defense industry, signaling the potential for broader industrial and technological partnerships in the future.
