At least eight people were killed and 33 others injured after an intercity passenger bus crashed and caught fire in Türkiye’s Denizli province on May 31.
The bus was traveling from Izmir to Antalya with 38 passengers and three crew members on board when it struck a roadside barrier along a highway. The impact sparked a fire that quickly engulfed the vehicle, The Caspian Post reports via TRT Haber.
Emergency responders rushed to the scene, evacuating passengers and bringing the blaze under control. Injured survivors were transported to hospitals across the city by ambulance for medical treatment.
