A major fire tore through an impound lot in Türkiye's western city of Izmir, destroying 62 vehicles after flames rapidly spread across the site.
The blaze broke out in the Bornova district and quickly engulfed parked vehicles, most of them motorcycles, leaving dozens completely burned, The Caspian Post reports via TRT Haber.
Emergency responders, including firefighters, police, and medical teams, were dispatched to the scene after fire crews received reports of the fire. Fire crews managed to bring the blaze under control following an intensive firefighting operation.
A total of 62 vehicles were destroyed in the incident.
Preliminary findings indicate that the fire started in a nearby area covered with dry grass before spreading to the impound lot, where it rapidly consumed the parked vehicles.
The police are investigating the exact cause of the fire.
