A military aircraft crashed near the village of Krasnoyanovo in Russia’s Amur Region, with seven servicemen reportedly on board.

Three people were killed and four others were hospitalized following the crash. The circumstances of the incident are still being investigated, according to ASTRA.

The aircraft’s model and the purpose of the flight have not been officially disclosed.

Earlier, footage appeared online showing a large fire in the distance at night, reportedly near the suspected crash site. A voice can be heard in the video saying that a military aircraft had crashed and that he had alerted the relevant people.

Meanwhile, Telegram channels have circulated an unverified claim based on photographs of the wreckage that the aircraft may have been a Tu-95MS strategic bomber.
