Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin has said that Russian air defense forces intercepted and destroyed 29 Ukrainian drones approaching Moscow since the start of the day.
In his latest update, Sobyanin said that three additional drones heading toward the Russian capital had been shot down by air defense systems, The Caspian Post reports via Sobyanin's message.
Emergency response teams have been deployed to the sites where drone debris fell. No immediate information on casualties or damage was released.
The first reports of intercepted drones were issued by the Moscow mayor at around 6:00 a.m. (GMT+3), with the total number of drones destroyed on approach to the capital reaching 29 by the latest official update.
