Ukraine's Dnipro has come under a drone attack, triggering a large fire and leaving casualties.
The strike hit the outskirts of the city early in the morning, setting nearby buildings and infrastructure ablaze. Initial reports confirmed one fatality and one injury, though the number of casualties later rose as more information became available, The Caspian Post reports via Ukrainian media.
At least 11 people were wounded in the attack, with several victims hospitalized. One man is reported to be in critical condition, while others sustained moderate injuries.
Emergency services were deployed to the scene to extinguish fires and assist the injured as destruction spread across the impacted area.
The strike also caused significant damage to civilian sites, including a local shop and multiple vehicles. A bus was also engulfed in flames during the incident.
The attack followed earlier warnings from Ukraine’s air force about incoming drones targeting the Dnipropetrovsk region, where Russian strikes have become increasingly frequent in recent weeks.
