Russian Drone Strike Hits Odesa Infrastructure, Sparks Fire

A Russian drone attack has hit an infrastructure facility in Ukraine's Odesa, sparking a fire.

Serhii Lysak, head of Odesa City Military Administration, confirmed that preliminary reports show no casualties, The Caspian Post reports via Ukrainian media.

Emergency teams are on site, while specialists inspect nearby civilian infrastructure and residential areas. The Ukrainian Scientific Center of Marine Ecology is monitoring coastal waters for environmental impacts, with cleanup operations already underway.

Power engineers are working to restore electricity to affected households.

Odesa has seen a surge in attacks on energy and infrastructure facilities in recent weeks. Previous strikes on December 19, 22, and 25 disrupted power, water, and heating services in parts of the city. Authorities remain on high alert, continuing monitoring and repair essential services.
