Russian Shahed-type drones struck Mykolaiv early on February 18, damaging residential houses in private housing areas.

The city’s mayor confirmed damage to multiple homes but reported no casualties so far. Ukrainian media said air defense systems were activated after drone groups were detected moving toward the Mykolaiv region from the south, The Caspian Post reports via Ukrainian media.

Officials also reported strikes involving guided aerial bombs in other parts of the country, including Zaporizhzhia region, Sumy region, Chernihiv region, and Kharkiv region.

Mykolaiv has repeatedly come under attack during the war, with earlier strikes causing infrastructure damage, power outages, and civilian casualties. Authorities continue to assess the aftermath as air defenses remain on alert.
