A C-130 military transport aircraft of the Turkish Armed Forces, which crashed in Georgia, was carrying 20 military personnel, according to the country's National Defense Ministry, The Caspian Post reports, citing Turkish media.
The crash occurred in the Signagi area, roughly five kilometres from the Georgian state border, while the plane was en route from Azerbaijan to Türkiye.
Search and rescue operations were immediately launched in coordination with Georgian and Azerbaijani authorities.
Emergency teams have been deployed to the crash site to provide assistance and assess the situation, according to the Turkish National Defens Ministry.
