Ukraine has released dramatic footage showing a precision drone strike on a key Russian military tech hub in occupied territory, underscoring Kyiv’s intensifying campaign against Moscow’s drone capabilities.
The operation reportedly took place in Zaporizhzhia region, where Ukrainian forces targeted a major development complex linked to Russia’s unmanned systems programs. The strike was carried out by Ukraine’s 413th “Raid” Regiment of the Unmanned Systems Forces, The Caspian Post reports via Ukrainian media.

The facility is believed to be connected to the BARS-Sarmat Special Purpose Center, a unit associated with drone development and electronic warfare. Established in 2024, the site has reportedly played a central role in producing unmanned aerial systems, ground-based robotic platforms, and communications equipment used by Russian forces.
Video shared on April 30 shows multiple strikes hitting what Ukrainian officials describe as production and assembly workshops.
Several structures appear to have sustained damage, though the full extent remains unclear.
There has been no immediate response from Russia regarding the reported attack.
The strike highlights Ukraine’s growing reliance on domestically produced drones to hit strategic military and industrial targets. These operations form part of a broader effort to disrupt Russia’s technological edge and weaken its ability to sustain prolonged warfare.
Since the start of the full-scale invasion, drone warfare has become a defining feature of the conflict, with both sides ramping up development and deployment of unmanned systems in an increasingly high-tech battlefield.
