The Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic States (TurkPA) and the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace (GCTP) have signed a Protocol of Intent aimed at strengthening cooperation and advancing joint initiatives focused on peace, dialogue, and mutual understanding.
The agreement was signed at TurkPA’s International Secretariat by Secretary General Ramil Hasan and GCTP President Ahmed Bin Mohammad Al-Jarwan, The Caspian Post reports via Report.
During the ceremony, Hasan praised the council’s efforts to promote friendship, cooperation, peace, and stability worldwide. He noted that the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace has already signed similar cooperation protocols with more than 40 parliaments and international organizations across the globe.
Al-Jarwan expressed confidence that the newly signed protocol would further deepen relations between the two organizations and create new opportunities for collaboration on issues of common interest.
The document outlines key areas for future cooperation and is expected to serve as a foundation for joint projects aimed at promoting tolerance, strengthening intercultural dialogue, and supporting regional and global stability.
The agreement is an important step toward expanding international parliamentary cooperation and advancing initiatives that contribute to peace and understanding across different regions of the world.
