Ukraine Strikes Russian Airbase, Destroys Two Fighter Jets

Ukraine’s Security Service have successfully destroyed two Russian fighter jets, a Su-30 and Su-27, at a military airbase near Lipetsk.

The estimated combined value of the destroyed jets, used by Russia in its war against Ukraine, could reach $100 million, The Caspian Post reports via Ukrainian media.

The special operation planning took two weeks. The jets, with tail numbers “12” and “82”, were burned inside a protective aviation hangar thanks to careful preparation and professionalism.

The operation involved studying patrol routes and guard shift schedules, allowing Ukrainian forces to infiltrate the Russian military facility undetected, strike the aircraft, and leave the airbase without interference.
