An unidentified unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) has been discovered on a beach in northern Türkiye, marking the second such incident in the region within five days.
The drone was found on Çakraz Beach in the Amasra district of Bartın province after being washed ashore by waves, The Caspian Post reports, citing Turkish media.
Gendarmerie units were deployed to the scene and confirmed that the UAV was not equipped with explosives.
Authorities said the device had likely been in the water for a prolonged period.
The drone has been sent to Ankara for technical examination, while its origin remains unknown.
The discovery comes after a similar incident on June 14, when another drone was found on a nearby beach in the same region. In that case, officials were also unable to determine its ownership.
