Russia, China and Niger voted against an anti-Iran resolution during a meeting of the Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), though the US-backed measure was ultimately approved, according to a source, The Caspian Post reports, citing TASS.
According to the source, the resolution was adopted despite opposition from the three countries.
"Russia, China and Niger voted against the anti-Iran resolution. Ten countries abstained, while 21 members voted in favor," the source said.
Earlier, Russian Permanent Representative to international organizations in Vienna Mikhail Ulyanov criticized the document, calling it "a farce."
He also accused the United States of seeking "to shift responsibility for the problems caused by the aggressor onto the victim of that aggression."
