During his visit to Washington, D.C., for the 2026 World Cup draw, AFFA President Rovshan Najaf met with Syed Mohsen Gilani, President of the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF).
The sides signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at expanding football cooperation between Azerbaijan and Pakistan, The Caspian Post reports, citing AFFA.
The agreement seeks to strengthen the partnership between their national football associations and promote football development in both countries.
Under the MoU, the AFFA and PFF will collaborate on various initiatives, including training camps, friendly matches for national teams across different age groups, and the promotion of women's football, futsal, beach football, and disabled football. The agreement also covers the exchange and training of referees.
Both sides emphasized that this cooperation would create new opportunities for players, coaches, and referees, while further strengthening the friendship and mutual trust between the two federations.
