Azerbaijani para-taekwondo athlete Imamaddin Khalilov (70kg) claimed the silver medal on the third day of the European Para-taekwondo Championship in Munich, Germany.
The Azerbaijani fighter, competing in the K44 category, demonstrated exceptional prowess by defeating Polish opponent Labedzki Przemyslaw in the quarterfinals, and Giorgi Nikoladze of Georgia semifinals and advancing through the finals, The Caspian Post reports, citing AZERTAC.
In a gold-medal bout against Turkish Paralympic athlete Yusuf Yünaçtı, Khalilov secured the silver medal, marking the second continental podium finish of his career.
