Azerbaijani Weightlifter Claims Three Medals at Islamic Solidarity Games

Azerbaijani weightlifter Ravin Almammadov (79kg) has claimed an impressive three medals at the 6th Islamic Solidarity Games in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Almammadov earned two silver medals in the snatch (155kg) and total (345kg) categories, along with a bronze in the clean and jerk (190kg), The Caspian Post reports, citing the Azerbaijan National Olympic Committee.

With these achievements, the Azerbaijani national weightlifting team’s medal count at the games has reached nine.

Other notable performances include Nuray Abilova (48kg), who secured three bronze medals, and Isa Rustamov (71kg), who contributed one silver and two bronze medals to Azerbaijan's overall tally.
