Kazakh Boxer Matassov Secures Bronze at 2025 Asian Youth Games

Kazakhstan’s boxer Sanzhar Matassov secured a bronze medal at the 2025 Asian Youth Games in Manama, Bahrain, after falling short of advancing to the final bout, according to the National Olympic Committee (NOC).

Matassov reached the semifinals in the boys' 75kg weight class, where he faced Diyorbek Murodilloev of Uzbekistan, The Caspian Post reports, citing Kazakh media.

Murodilloev won the bout by unanimous decision. Thus, Sanzhar Matassov finished the tournament with a bronze medal.
