Kazakhstan to Host 51st UEFA Congress Next Year

UEFA has announced that Kazakhstan will host the 51st UEFA Congress on March 4, 2027.

The decision was revealed during the organization’s 50th anniversary Congress held in Brussels, The Caspian Post reports, citing Kazakh media.

The Congress will take place in Kazakhstan’s capital, marking the first time the country will host one of the most significant gatherings in European football. The event represents a major milestone for Kazakhstan within the continental football landscape.

The UEFA Congress is the highest decision-making body of European football’s governing authority. It brings together delegates from all 55 national football associations that are members of UEFA. During the Congress, key strategic priorities are defined, financial and organizational matters are approved, and oversight of international competitions is exercised.

The 51st edition will also function as an election Congress, during which participants will vote to elect the UEFA president as well as members of the Executive Committee.

UEFA will cover all expenses related to organizing the event, and no funds from Kazakhstan’s state budget will be used. Granting Kazakhstan the right to host reflects UEFA’s acknowledgment of the country’s contribution to European football. The event is expected to enhance Kazakhstan’s standing within the European football community and further promote international sporting cooperation.
