The International Tourism Exhibition DITE-2025 has officially opened at the Dushanbe Expo Center, bringing together around 200 companies from 20 countries in a vibrant display of Tajikistan’s growing role as a regional tourism hub.
Spanning three days, the event features a wide array of participants - including tour operators, hotel chains, airlines, wellness centers, cultural institutions, and souvenir producers, The Caspian Post reports via Tajik media.
Delegations hail not only from Tajikistan and neighboring Central Asian countries, but also from Germany, the United Kingdom, Russia, Türkiye, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, the United States, Iran, Pakistan, Bahrain, Yemen, Syria, and Morocco.
Organized by Somon Travel with support from the Dushanbe Mayor’s Office and the Committee for Tourism Development, DITE-2025 follows closely on the heels of the International Tourism Investment Forum, held a day earlier.
The opening ceremony drew the attendance of high-level officials, including representatives from the Dushanbe Mayor’s Office, the Committee for Tourism Development, and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tajikistan. Also present was Ms. Simonida Kordić, President of the UN World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) Commission for Europe, who praised the country’s increasing visibility on the global tourism stage.
Organizers emphasized that DITE-2025 serves as a critical platform for local businesses to boost their international presence, forge new partnerships, and tap into growing global interest in Tajikistan as an emerging travel destination. The event is expected to drive investment, strengthen inbound tourism, and enhance Tajikistan’s image as a culturally rich and hospitable country.
Building on the success of its inaugural edition in 2024 - which attracted over 100 participants - this year’s exhibition offers an expanded program, including product launches, business-to-business networking sessions, and interactive exchanges between domestic and international industry players.
DITE-2025 continues through September 20 and is open to tourism professionals, investors, and the general public.
