Tajik FM Discusses Trade Issues with Finnish, Hungarian FMs

Tajikistan’s Foreign Minister Sirojiddin Muhriddin has held a series of high-level meetings in Vienna during the 32nd OSCE Ministerial Council.

He met with counterparts from Finland and Hungary to discuss regional security and deepen bilateral ties, The Caspian Post reports via Tajik media.

Talks with Finland’s Foreign Minister

During his meeting with Finnish Foreign Minister Elina Valtonen, the sides reviewed cooperation between Tajikistan and Finland, focusing on regional issues and security challenges, particularly the situation in Afghanistan.

Both ministers emphasized strengthening collaboration within the OSCE and on the global stage.

Meeting with Hungary’s Foreign Minister

Muhriddin also met with Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto. The discussions covered political, economic, trade, and educational cooperation between the two countries. They also exchanged views on relations with the EU, international organizations, and developments in Afghanistan.

Address at the OSCE Ministerial Council

Muhriddin addressed the OSCE gathering, outlining Tajikistan’s priorities across military-political, economic-environmental, and humanitarian areas. Highlighting recent incidents along the Afghan border, he called for stronger OSCE cooperation to tackle emerging regional and global security challenges.
