President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon is set to pay a state visit to China next week as the two countries continue to strengthen strategic and economic ties.
The visit will take place from May 11 to 14 at the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping, The Caspian Post reports via China’s Foreign Ministry.
The upcoming trip is expected to focus on expanding bilateral cooperation in areas including trade, infrastructure, investment, regional connectivity and security.
China remains one of Tajikistan’s key economic partners and investors, playing a major role in infrastructure and development projects across the country under the framework of regional connectivity initiatives.
