Tajikistan has established a National Tourism Association in a move aimed at strengthening cooperation across the country’s rapidly growing tourism sector.
The decision was approved during a meeting attended by representatives of the Tourism Development Committee, travel companies, hotels, restaurants, and airlines. Eleven companies have been named as founding members of the new organization, The Caspian Post reports via Kazinform.
Speaking at the event, Association Head Umed Saidov described the creation of the body as an important step toward uniting and advancing Tajikistan’s tourism potential.
The National Tourism Association will focus on enhancing collaboration between the public and private sectors, protecting the interests of tourism entrepreneurs, improving service quality, and promoting Tajikistan as an attractive destination on the global stage.
The announcement comes as the country records strong growth in visitor numbers. More than 1.7 million travelers visited Tajikistan in 2025, including around 37,000 visitors from Kazakhstan, marking a 27.5% increase compared to the previous year.
