Tajikistan, Caritas Switzerland Team Up to Expand Educational Cooperation

Tajik First Deputy Minister of Education and Science Homid Khoshimzoda has met with the regional director and representatives of the international charitable organization Caritas Switzerland to discuss strengthening and expanding their partnership in the education sector.

The meeting focused on reviewing ongoing collaboration and identifying new opportunities to support Tajikistan’s educational system, particularly in vulnerable regions, The Caspian Post reports, citing Tajik media.

Khoshimzoda expressed appreciation for Caritas Switzerland’s significant contributions and described the partnership as vital and timely.

Both sides exchanged ideas on enhancing joint initiatives, emphasizing inclusive education, early childhood development, and teacher training, including efforts under the “Green School” project. They also discussed plans to extend the geographical scope of their projects, improve coordination with government bodies, and optimize resource use.

Held in a constructive atmosphere, the talks concluded with a shared commitment to develop new cooperation plans for the coming years, aiming to bolster educational access and quality across Tajikistan.
