Tajikistan Celebrates Record Success at Abu Dhabi World Jiu-Jitsu Championship 2025

Tajikistan has made history at the 2025 Abu Dhabi World Jiu-Jitsu Championship, claiming five gold medals under coach Komil Boimurodov.

Young stars Majid Sohibzoda (24 kg) and Muhammad Sharifzoda (27 kg) dominated the junior divisions, while Salmon Rizoev (62 kg) and Muhammad Boimurodov (50 kg) stunned the youth category, winning most of their 4-5 matches by early submission, The Caspian Post informs via Tajik media.

In the adult division, Maruf Dilshod captured the world title in his category, marking a major achievement for Tajik jiu-jitsu.

Coach Boimurodov praised his team’s discipline and mental toughness: “No skipped practices, no excuses - only focus and daily work. Our athletes stayed composed under pressure and proved they can compete with anyone.”

He highlighted that Tajik fighters are now on par with global powerhouses like Brazil, the UAE, and the US, and stressed that consistent hard work and a structured training system are the keys to their success.
