During a key meeting held in Dushanbe, Tajikistan’s Prosecutor-General Habibullo Vohidzoda has met with Kyrgyz counterpart Maksat Asanaliyev to advance cooperation on some of the region’s most pressing security issues.
The officials focused on cybersecurity threats, counterterrorism efforts, transnational organized crime, The Caspian Post reports via Tajik media.
Both sides flagged cybercrime as a rapidly growing global threat. Discussions included information sharing, specialist training programs, joint investigations into digital crimes.
A major highlight was the recent signing of a Tajik-Kyrgyz border delimitation and demarcation deal - hailed as a “historic milestone” that will strengthen good neighborly ties, build mutual trust, support lasting border stability
The talks took place during the 35th session of the CIS Prosecutors General Coordinating Council, a regional body promoting legal collaboration, crime-fighting strategies, and rule of law since 1995.
The meeting was marked by mutual respect and goodwill, reinforcing the strong working relationship between the two countries' prosecutorial agencies.
