Tajikistan has approved a quota of 520 labor migrants from Afghanistan.
Of the total, 420 foreign workers are expected to be employed in the capital, Dushanbe, The Caspian Post reports via Tajik media.
Earlier, authorities announced plans to attract 5,500 foreign workers overall to support the country’s labor needs.
Under the government allocation, more than 3,200 workers will be sent to Dushanbe, nearly 1,200 to the Districts of Republican Subordination (RRP), over 700 to Sughd region, 310 to Khatlon, and 60 to the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region.
