The announcement was made by Turkmen Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov during a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, The Caspian Post reports via Report.

A key focus of upcoming bilateral contacts will be preparations for the state visit of Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov to Azerbaijan. Officials say the visit is expected to elevate the traditionally friendly relations between the two nations to a new strategic level.

Particular attention during the planned high-level talks will be devoted to strengthening partnerships in the energy sector, transport and logistics networks, and trilateral cooperation formats involving Caspian Sea states.

The growing relationship between Baku and Ashgabat is supported by an extensive legal framework, with more than 120 bilateral agreements currently in force. Trade between the two countries has also continued to show steady growth.
