Azerbaijani President Gets Official 2026 Invitation from Turkmenistan

Turkmen National Leader and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty (People's Council), Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, has officially invited Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to pay a visit to Turkmenistan in 2026.

The invitation was delivered in a congratulatory message addressed to President Aliyev, following the unanimous decision of the 7th Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia to grant Azerbaijan full participation in the high-level regional platform, The Caspian Post reports via local media.

Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of Azerbaijan’s new role within the format and expressed confidence in the strengthened cooperation it will bring.

“We look forward to welcoming you, dear Ilham Heydar oglu - our esteemed brother and friend - to Turkmenistan next year for the 8th Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia and Azerbaijan,” the message stated.
