A powerful celebration of shared culture took center stage in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan, as Azerbaijani performers delivered standout performances at the 17th opera gala hosted by TURKSOY.

Held at the iconic Mukamlar Palace as part of the Opera Days program, the event brought together leading voices from across the Turkic world, highlighting a rich and unified musical heritage, The Caspian Post reports via local media.

Accompanied by the State Symphony Orchestra of Turkmenistan, the concert featured acclaimed artists from Türkiye, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Turkmenistan-turning the evening into a vibrant showcase of operatic excellence.

Azerbaijan was represented by honored artist Farida Mammadova and opera performer Taleh Yahyayev, whose performances earned warm applause from both audiences and fellow participants.

Their renditions of classical pieces underscored Azerbaijan’s deep-rooted musical traditions and the high caliber of its vocal artistry, leaving a lasting impression on the international stage.

The gala drew a distinguished audience, including Turkmen officials, TURKSOY representatives, foreign ambassadors, members of the diplomatic corps, cultural figures, and media-further reinforcing the event’s role in strengthening cultural ties across Turkic nations.
