Russia is looking to increase imports of high-quality goods from Turkmenistan, including textiles, agricultural products, and fertilizers, according to Russian Ambassador to Ashgabat Ivan Volynkin.
He made the announcement during a press conference highlighting the results of cooperation between Ashgabat and Moscow in 2024, The Caspian Post reports, citing Turkmen media.
Volynkin noted that the growth of exports of these goods to Russia will contribute to strengthening bilateral relations.
He also emphasized that Turkmenistan has already overtaken Uzbekistan in the export of tomatoes to Russia, which indicates the high quality of Turkmen products.
“They are really high-quality, tasty, very good. We are interested in increasing the export potential of Turkmenistan to the Russian Federation,” the head of the diplomatic mission emphasized.
