Turkmen Embassy Hosts Round Table on Peace and Trust in Kyrgyzstan

The Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Kyrgyz Republic has held a round table in Bishkek, dedicated to the proclamation of 2025 as the “International Year of Peace and Trust” and the upcoming session of the Halk Maslahaty (People’s Council) of Turkmenistan.

Turkmen students studying in Bishkek, as well as Turkmen citizens residing in the city, participated in the event, The Caspian Post reports via Turkmen media.

During the meeting, attendees were briefed on Turkmenistan’s foreign policy, which emphasizes peace, good neighborliness, and mutual respect. Officials highlighted that under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, and continuing the initiatives of National Leader Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov (Hero-Arkadag), Turkmenistan’s policy of Permanent Neutrality-recognized internationally on three occasions-remains central to the country’s diplomatic efforts.

Special attention was given to the state visits of Turkmenistan’s President and Halk Maslahaty Chairman, which have strengthened international trust and fostered constructive partnerships. Participants noted that the designation of 2025 as the “International Year of Peace and Trust” reflects Turkmenistan’s mission to promote global understanding and sustainable development through its peace-oriented approach.

The event concluded with a video presentation showcasing Turkmenistan’s achievements and its contributions to strengthening international peace.
