Turkmen singer Dovran Shammyyev has secured a top-three finish in the premiere episode of the international music competition Silk Way Star, captivating the jury with his original composition “Eşityäñmi Olary” (“Do You Hear Them”) and earning 120 points among participants from 12 countries.
The episode’s highest score of 126 points was achieved by a singer from Malaysia, while Uzbekistan’s representative secured second place with 122 points, The Caspian Post reports via Turkmen media.
The judging panel included Rasul Klychev, an Honored Artist of Turkmenistan, adding significance to Shammyyev’s achievement.
The ten‑episode series features cross‑cultural duets, songs in multiple languages, and performance challenges. Episodes exceed 100 minutes in length and are aired weekly. The final gala will be broadcast live on November 22 on Jibek Joly TV and affiliated networks in participating countries. Winner selection will be split equally between jury votes and online audience votes (50/50).
