Students from Turkmenistan have taken an active part in the 12th International “Common Sky” Festival, held at the Institute of Architecture and Construction of Volgograd State Technical University in Russia.
This year, the vibrant event brought together hundreds of students from dozens of countries, celebrating unity through culture, creativity, and friendship, The Caspian Post reports via Turkmen media.
The “Common Sky” Festival served as a true platform for people’s diplomacy, where participants from Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, China, Jordan, and other nations shared their traditions, customs, and cultural heritage.
One of the highlights of the event was the national cuisine festival, where Turkmen students treated guests to authentic traditional Turkmen dishes, showcasing the famous warmth and hospitality of their country.
The festival also featured sports tournaments, including football, table games, and tug-of-war competitions - fostering camaraderie and teamwork among participants.
In addition, a roundtable discussion brought together students and organizers to talk about intercultural communication, respectful behavior abroad, and ways to strengthen cultural ties.
The event culminated with a grand concert, where the Turkmen delegation impressed the audience with colorful national costumes, songs, and traditional dances performed to a full house.
