Turkmenistan and UNIDO Strengthen Cooperation Ahead of Major UN Conference

Turkmenistan’s Ambassador to Austria, Hemra Amannazarov, has met with Fatou Haidara, Deputy Director General of UNIDO, at the UN headquarters in Vienna to discuss preparations for the upcoming conference and review ongoing initiatives supporting the sustainable development of landlocked developing countries.

The key agenda of the meeting centered on preparations for the upcoming Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC3), set to take place from August 5 to 8, 2025, The Caspian Post reports via Turkmen media.

During the talks, both sides stressed the vital importance of effective coordination and collaboration to ensure the successful achievement of the conference’s objectives.

The discussions underscored Turkmenistan’s active role and strong commitment to working closely with international partners in the lead-up to LLDC3, reinforcing its dedication to advancing the interests of landlocked nations on the global stage.
