Turkmenistan Increases Oil Production in Early 2025

A report detailing the performance of Turkmenistan's oil and gas sector for the first two months of 2025 was presented during a Cabinet of Ministers meeting.

According to the report of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Batyr Amanov, the State Concern “Türkmennebit” exceeded the oil production plan, reaching 105.8 percent, The Caspian Post reports, citing Turkmen media.

Positive results were also noted in other areas of the oil and gas industry. The oil refining plan was fulfilled by 102.4 percent, and the gasoline production plan by 102.2 percent. Polypropylene production reached 102.8 percent of the planned level, and lubricating oils - 110.6 percent.

Significant growth was demonstrated by the production of liquefied gas - 125.3 percent. The plan for the production of natural and associated gas was fulfilled by 104.2 percent.

Following the meeting, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed the Deputy Prime Minister to take comprehensive measures to further increase hydrocarbon production volumes, use existing production capacities more efficiently, and continue to introduce modern technologies in the oil and gas sector.
