Turkmenistan, Switzerland Keen to Expand Econimic, Ecological Cooperation

The Federal Office of Foreign Affairs of Switzerland hosted a meeting between Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan Vepa Hajiyev and Special Advisor to the Secretary of State Ms. Anya Zobrist.

During the conversation, the current state of bilateral relations between Turkmenistan and Switzerland was discussed: political cooperation, improvement of the legal framework for cooperation and partnership within multilateral platforms, The Caspian Post reports, citing Turkmen media.

Particular attention was paid to strengthening economic ties. The parties discussed prospects for implementing joint projects aimed at developing trade relations and investment cooperation.

In addition, within the framework of the Blue Peace initiative, which promotes sustainable water management, a number of environmental issues were discussed. The diplomats expressed their readiness to deepen cooperation on this topic, emphasizing the importance of sustainable development for both countries.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to continue a constructive dialogue and implement joint initiatives aimed at expanding cooperation in key areas, according to the website of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Switzerland.
