A high-level meeting took place at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, where Deputy Minister of Education Azat Ataev led a Turkmen delegation in discussions with representatives from leading British academic institutions, The Caspian Post informs via Turkmen media.

The British delegation included notable figures from Cambridge University Press and Assessment, Pearson, the Norwich Institute for Language Education, and Heriot-Watt University.

Also present were leaders from prominent Turkmen higher education institutions, such as the International University for the Humanities and Development, the International University of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, and the Turkmen National Institute of World Languages named after Dovletmammed Azadi.

During the event, British experts conducted practical masterclasses for English teachers and students, focusing on modern teaching methodologies, language assessment, digital learning resources, and preparation for international exams.

Both sides explored new areas of strategic collaboration, including academic mobility and professional development for educators, digitalization of education, joint STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) programs, and collaborative educational and research projects.

These initiatives represent a major step forward in deepening the strategic partnership between Turkmenistan and the UK, aiming to build capacity and improve the quality of education in Turkmenistan to align with international standards.
