US Companies Ready to Partner with Turkmenistan on AI Development

U.S. Under Secretary of State for Public Diplomacy Sarah Rogers has said that American companies are prepared to work with Turkmenistan on the development of artificial intelligence technologies, signaling growing interest in digital cooperation across Central Asia.

Speaking to journalists during a briefing, Rogers said artificial intelligence and data center development have become key topics in discussions throughout the region, The Caspian Post reports via TASS.

Rogers said that artificial intelligence and data centers had come up in nearly every conversation she had across Central Asia, including discussions with senior ministers in each country.

She noted that AI has the potential to transform business, education, and economic development.

Rogers welcomed Turkmenistan’s interest in emerging technologies, saying the country's focus on innovation and prosperity creates opportunities for closer cooperation with American companies.

The US diplomat said that she was encouraged by Turkmenistan’s interest in artificial intelligence technology and added that when a country seeks technology and prosperity, American companies are generally ready to provide the necessary solutions and expertise.

Rogers arrived in Turkmenistan on June 8 as part of a regional tour that also included visits to India, Nepal, and Uzbekistan.
